These few days, as I still try to work out witth new traffice to the new job, I always use apps taxi which are uber and grab. This morning i have a policeman whi drove me to the office. He is such a gentleman and his car is more like a racing car. He drove in different road, through the port which very close to the sea and it’s a new experience for me. What a journey! Even thought I spent 1 1/5 hours on the road, I arrived office at 8.00 am and it made me finish my first batch of Microsoft Marketing University. And it made me earned my 1st Microsoft badge! And only on the 4th day working days in Microsoft 🙂

Just 2 days on board, I have face challenge about the traffic. I usually only spent 15minutes from my house to office, but today I spent 1.5hours + another 2 hours back … my baby Allen was sick and I wanted to artive home at 5pm. It turned out arrive at 6pm. Even though, I believe this is one of the challenge that I could walk thru with solution. Thinking in another side, with this challenge, I forced to manage my time more efficiently and it will build up my time dicipline as well. So, I still think this is a good change and a good challenge for me.

There is several big decission that become my turning point in my life. The first one is to make decission to study in Jakarta for University. Ar that time, I really didnt want to spend my whole life in a cubical shop. I could say it wa not bad, but it would just became a comfort zone. Second turning point is to choose between working in ASUS or another company. It is a very important decission because it decided my next 12 years life. And the last one I have just made is to decide to start over again from the bottom at Microsoft. The same thinking as the first decission. It is not bad to continue working in ASUS as I have gained respect and honour. But I just think comfort zone is not what I want. Now I start new journey and adventure. And it makes me feeling content and excitement.

Recently my mom told me a story why she encouraged me to make a change in my career life. She said, I have been grown up seeing many family who has a shop or a business and also many children.  Some of the children would fight each other to be the owner of their parents’ shop or business. While some of the children would stepped out from the circle and started their own adventure. Perhaps it was not that easy in the very beginning. But years passed, the children who have their own adventure became more successful from the ones who fight for internal family business. My mom is very inspiring person. She has the growth mindset and that’s how I also have it 🙂 I would say thank you to my mom.
